Who We Are

Clevedon Physiotherapy was created to provide top-quality, bespoke physiotherapy services to the local and wider Auckland community. As an Auckland physiotherapy clinic, we treat a range of musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, pelvic floor, persistent pain, ACC, private, sports, oncological, and post-surgical conditions.

We have a strong emphasis on evidence-based practice, providing up-to-date assessment and management techniques/strategies. We aim to not just get you back to where you were, but to help you to be even better, by building on your knowledge-base and personal resilience.

We are unique in that we provide longer appointment times in order to provide thorough assessment and individualised management plans that centre around you, the client. We pride ourselves on taking the time to really understand you and provide a collaborative management plan tailored to suit your needs.

We provide physiotherapy services at three sites across the Clevedon, Auckland area. This ensures we are meeting the needs of our community, as our clinics each provide a unique opportunity for clients receiving physiotherapy.

For those needing a little extra, an onsite gym at our West Road Clinic features a variety of equipment to help you on your road to recovery and greater physical performance. Our home clinic and onsite gym are set in stunning bush surrounds, looking across the valley to the Hunua Ranges.

We are here to help. If any of your questions aren’t answered below, reach out to us using our contact form, email, or phone us on 027 418 2361.

Do I need a referral to get physiotherapy?

No referral needed! Just contact us and we can arrange an appointment without any referral. We can complete any ACC registration needed for your injury.

I am not sure if physio can help with my concern

Physiotherapy has a broad scope and can assess and treat a wide range of conditions. We recommend an initial assessment where a thorough examination will guide further steps. If physiotherapy is not the right path for you, we can refer you to a wide range of health and medical professionals.

How long are the appointments?

Initial appointments are up to 1 hour, follow-up appointments are up to 40 minutes.

Our appointments are slightly longer than most Auckland physiotherapy clinics, as we emphasise thorough assessment and treatment. We also understand the importance of getting to know you, to ensure we are tailoring our physio service to your individual needs, optimising your recovery.

How much does it cost?

ACC covered injury

  • Initial appointment $100
  • Follow up appointment $90
My injury is covered by ACC, do I still have to pay for physio?

In most cases ACC covers only a portion of the cost so you will need to pay a surcharge. At Clevedon Physiotherapy our surcharges are $60 for a one hour initial appointment and $50 for follow ups.

Some injuries are covered in full by ACC’s integrated care pathways such as Careway.

What is Careway?
  • Careway is an integrated care pathway that aims to fast track recovery for certain qualifying injuries such as knee ligament injuries, rotator cuff injuries and some spine injuries.
  • Clevedon Physiotherapy is a registered Careway provider in Auckland.
  • There is no charge as ACC covers the cost in full.
  • There will usually be several health professionals involved in your care such as an occupational therapist and/or an orthopaedic consultant.
  • Contact us if you are unsure whether your injury may qualify for Careway.
